SAFETY PROTOCOLS

SAFETY

Safety is our #1 priority, going above & beyond US Coast Guard & state DNR regulation requirements.. Our boat is inspected by the DNR of Indiana and Michigan and a boating specialist for IL waters. In fact it is rare that a boat has gone through this many inspections but we fish in three states’ waters so are licensed everywhere we fish.

That is good news for you and our clients as we take safety very seriously and we go above and beyond what is required in states for charter boats for safety equipment. We have an EPIRB on board, ship to shore radio, lifejackets and medical kit. We also are one of the few boats that has immersion suits available.

IN CASE OF ROUGH WEATHER

The Captain has final say when it comes to fishing rough weather. If you are feeling uncomfortable due to weather or any other circumstance during the trip, please let Captain know. Ultimately, once we pass the Chicago pumping stations (cribs) we will charge the full amount of the trip. If we decide it is too rough to fish prior, then your down payment can be applied to another fishing date agreeable to both parties.
